Safe sex campaign for MSM (Men who have sex with men)

The Brief: A campaign to increase awareness of the health risks of unprotected sex required to reach men who have sex with men in the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde area. In particular, the campaign was required to positively change attitudes and behaviour around using condoms and lubrication, and having regular health check ups.

The Solution: The core attention grabbing message of "Think Long and Hard" led the campaign creative with a clear call to action of 'Cover up, Lube up and Check up'. The campaign featured a number of promotional tactics including an online-dating based viral campaign, tube trains wrapped in condoms and a giveaway 'safe-sex' wallet with a distinctly no-nonsense strapline.

After getting down to the final two from over 50 agencies at pitching stage, another agency and campaign was ultimately chosen. ...and there's no prizes for coming second!
